Glittered Snowman Cookie Container

Some glam and glitter will go a long way to change the look of a simple container into a snowman cookie container.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 1/4" flat brush
    • hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • button
    • bottle or round container
    • tissue paper
    • 1" foam brush
    • cardstock
    • Silhouette electronic cutting machine
    • fabric

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Thoroughly clean out the inside of the container with a damp paper towel.

    3. Download desired files for the Silhouette digital craft cutter for the face and arms. Once cut out on cardstock, paint the arms of the snowman in Cocoa Bean, the eyes in Black Tie, the nose in Red Barn, and the mouth in Soft Jade.

    5. Cut a piece of white cardstock to fit the container. Adhere onto surface using Matte Decou-Page.

    7. Apply another layer of Decou-Page onto the cardstock. While it is still wet, sprinkle on a coat of glitter of choice. Use a plate to catch the excess glitter.

    9. Once the Decou-Page has dried, tie on a piece of fabric for the scarf. Shown: a piece pf flannel cut about 1" x 12". Fringe the ends of the fabric with scissors.

    11. Using hot glue, adhere the buttons, eyes, nose, mouth, and arms onto the container.

    13. Insert some tissue paper on the inside of the can and fill with sweet treat of choice.
