INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.
Using a large flat brush, paint basecoat the two 4" x 6" frames with Purple Pizzazz and the 8" x 10" frame with Slate Grey.
Using a large fan brush, paint three coats of Galaxy Glitter onto each frame in coordinating colors: 4" x 6" frames, Ultraviolet; and 8" x 10" frame, Silver Moon. (Make sure to allow time to dry completely between coats.)
Mix one tablespoon of water with four drops of Slate Grey to create a light wash. Use this wash, with a small round brush, to lightly paint swirls and curls onto all three pages of mixed media art paper. Allow to dry completely.
With carbon tracing paper, trace the words dream & dare separately onto the 4" x 6" pages and dance onto the 8" x 10" page. Also trace and transfer the star and exclamation point on the "dream" paper.
Outline each word with the hot pink marker and fill in all thick downstrokes. Using Ultraviolet, paint two coats onto each thick downstroke, allowing to dry completely between coats. On the 8" x 10" add Pink Cosmos onto the star shape, exclamation mark, and the word dream.
Allow all paper pieces to dry overnight before inserting into the appropriate frame.
HELPFUL HINTS
Have one water container for acrylic paintbrushes and a separate one for glitter paintbrushes.
Practice the swirls and curls on a piece of scrap paper before you begin. Make sure they are light in color; you can always darken them if you need.
