    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Paint the entire canvas in Bahama Blue.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Transfer the provided sea floor pattern onto the canvas. Mix Burnt Umber with a touch of Snow White and use to paint the seal. Paint the section of coral in Desert Sand.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using a small brush, bounce Tropical Blue around the coral reef in the center of the image and paint the top of the image in this color. (See photo.) Paint several sections of the coral in Vivid Violet and Coral and the starfish in Coral. Mix Desert Sand with a touch of Burnt Umber. Using a small brush, bounce the mix over the entire coral piece in the foreground and on the starfish. Also paint a layer of this mix on the seal.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Mix Tropical Blue with a touch of Bahama Blue. Use a small brush to bounce mix around the blue coral in the middle, adding another layer of texture. Do the same thing using Desert Sand, bouncing it back over the sand-colored coral in the foreground. Use Burnt Umber to add details to the seal, adding a shadow to his front, the curve of his back, his fins and tail, and his eye. (See pattern for placement.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use a small brush and Snow White to bounce highlights over the coral in certain areas and on the starfish. (See photo.) Add tiny whiskers to the seal with Snow White. Use Pebble to add some highlights to the seal's face and belly area. (See photo.).
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Mix Glazing Medium with a touch of Tropical Blue. Use mix to apply a thin layer of the medium over the whole painting, brushing it across the canvas horizontally. (This will give the painting a sense of being underwater.)
    12. Instruction #6
