    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Straight line ornaments : Use a medium brush to paint the flat sides of the glass gems in the color of your choice. Let dry.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a medium brush to paint popsicle sticks in the same colors as the glass gems.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Use E6000 Glue to adhere the painted gems to the popsicle sticks. Let dry.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Use E6000 Glue to adhere ribbon to the back sides of the popsicle sticks. (See photo.) Let dry. Use a small brush to add decorative details to the front sides of the glass gems in the same color.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Round ornaments: Flip 15 glass gems so that the flat side of each gem is pointing upward. Paint the bottoms of five glass gems one color; the bottoms of five glass gems another color; and the bottoms of the remaining five glass gems a third color. Set the gems aside to dry. When dry, repeat with a second coat, if a more vibrant color is desired. Allow to dry thoroughly.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Paint three popsicle sticks with each of the three colors used to paint the glass gems. Set the popsicle sticks aside to dry.
    12. Once the popsicle sticks are dry, cut each popsicle stick into five pieces.
    13. Instruction #7
    14. Arrange the glass gems, bottom sides up, in a circle. Glue a piece of popsicle stick, painted side down, to connect two gems. Repeat this process until each gem is connected in a circle. (See photo.)
    15. Instruction #8
    16. Once the glue has dried, use the paintbrush to apply decorative details to the tops of the glass gems, using the same color of paint applied to the bottom side of the glass gems. (We applied dots and lines to embellish these ornaments.) Set aside to dry.
    17. Instruction #9
    18. When glass gems and sticks are dry, tie a piece of decorative ribbon between two gems and tie a knot. Tie another knot at the ends of the ribbon to create a hanger for the ornament.
