Chalky Finish for Glass Painted Candy Dish

Store your sweets in this flea market candy dish painted with Chalky Finish for glass.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- sandpaper
- scissors
- ruler
- pencil
- 1/2" flat brush
- white glue
- black embroidery floss
- glass candy dish
- 2 sheets of scrapbook paper
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Apply multiple coats as needed.
Let dry between painting steps.
- Clean off glass with alcohol and a paper towel.
- Paint the main part of the dish top and the entire dish bottom with Vintage using the 1/2" flat brush.
- Paint the glass dish handle with Relic and the 1/2" flat brush.
- Distress the piece with sandpaper to achieve the desired effect.
- To make the tag, choose a font on the computer and type out "confections." Make a copy of the scrapbook paper of your choice and put the copy in the paper tray and print "confections" onto the scrapbook paper copy.
- Draw an rounded rectangle around the word using a pencil and ruler. Cut out the tag and make a slightly bigger tag in the same shape and glue to the back of the printed tag.
- Poke a hole in the tag with a sharp pencil and tie the embroidery floss to the tag and the dish.
