Glass Jack-O'-Lantern Jar

This pumpkin, in glass, will become a permanent fixture for your Halloween décor.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- rubbing alcohol
- #8 round brush
- fine point Sharpie® marker or pen
- glass pumpkin jar
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wipe the pumpkin jar clean with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol. Make a dark orange color by mixing (2) parts Bright Orange with (1) part Tuscan Red. Place the mix and Bright Orange on a palette or plastic plate. Using a #8 round brush, make short brush marks in a vertical direction on the pumpkin jar with both colors. (Do not rinse the brush between colors.) Continue this process all the way around the pumpkin. Save the mix for future steps.
- Continue the same process from step one on the pumpkin jar lid, using the mix and Bright Orange. For the stem, make light green by mixing (1) part White with (1) part Festive Green. Place the mix and Festive Green on a palette or plate. Using a #8 round brush, make short brush marks in a vertical direction all the way around the stem. (Do not rinse brush between colors.)
- Use the pattern to draw a jack-o'-lantern face on the pumpkin jar. Use a #8 round brush to paint the face in Black. Use a #8 round brush to outline the face in the mix from step one.
