SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • painter's tape
    • Contac® paper
    • X-Acto® knife
    • #1 liner brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • Silhouette electronic cutting machine
    • burlap plate

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Start with a burlap plate.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Scan the word patterns and cut out with the Silhouette electronic cutting machine onto Contac paper or other self-stick plastic. (If you do not have a Silhouette machine, you can also cut out the patterns with an X-Acto knife.)
    4. Cut out around the words to fit nicely onto the plate. Tape the first word into place using painter's tape. (I did one word at a time to insure that the words were straight.)
    5. Dip a cosmetic sponge into Relic. Lightly pounce over the entire word. Remove the Contac paper and apply the second word, lining it up as best as you can. Repeat pouncing on the second word.
    6. Instruction #4
    7. Once finished, remove all Contac paper and tape.
    8. Instruction #5
    9. Using the leaf pattern as a guide, free-hand leaves on each side of the plate using a #1 liner brush, Relic, and a small amount of water.
    10. Instruction #6
