Painted Giraffe Stool

Add this colorful stool to a kid's bed- or bathroom for extra seating or an extra boost.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • pencil
    • liner brush
    • wooden stool
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #8 round brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the top of the stool with two coats of Peach Silk and the legs with two coats of Melonball.

    3. Using a 3/4" flat brush, dry-brush the top of the stool with Chick and the legs with Coastal Waters.

    5. Using a #8 round brush, randomly paint loopy lines across the top part of the stool in Cotton Ball.

    7. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace the giraffe onto the stool. (Refer to photo for placement.) Use a #8 round brush to paint the giraffe with two coats of Chick. Use a liner brush to paint the horn and tail with two coats of Coastal Waters.

    9. Use a liner brush to dot on eyes in Coastal Waters. Use a #8 round brush to add accents colors/marking in Coastal Waters, Iris, and Flamingo.
