Gingerbread House and Gift Box Set

Create the perfect gift set with this SnowTex Gingerbread House and Gift Box.
SUPPLIES
- transfer paper
- scissors
- wooden birdhouse
- craft glue
- small and medium brushes
- paper shreds or tissue
- palette knife
- pen or pencil
- paper mache box
- embellishments
- cardstock
- wood bead
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
For this project the back of the birdhouse will become the front part of the gingerbread house. Prefer a snow covered birdhouse? Then go ahead and use the front as the front!
- Use a medium flat brush to paint the middle section of the birdhouse Baby Pink.
- Use a small round brush to paint the door in Sable Brown and the window in Titanium White.
- Use a small round brush to add the window mullions in Jadeite Glass, the hearts in Sable Brown and the dots with Titanium White.
- Use a palette knife to apply Snow-Tex to the roof and base of the birdhouse.
- Immediately press beads into the Sno-Tex, while it's still wet (no need for glue, the Snow-Tex will hold them in place) Allow to dry completely before putting it into the gift box.
- Use a palette knife to apply Snow-Tex to the top of the box.
- Immediately press beads into the Sno-Tex, while it's still wet (no need for glue, the Snow-Tex will hold them in place). Use a medium flat brush to paint the wood bead in Baby Pink. Let dry. Use craft glue to adhere large bead in place.
- Print out gingerbread pattern and use a pen or pencil and transfer paper to trace the design onto the brown cardstock. Cut out shape. Use a small round brush to paint the icing in Titanium White.
- Use a small round brush to paint the eye in Jadiete Glass and the cheeks and smile in Baby Pink.
- Glue yarn (or baker's twine) to the back of the gingerbread man. Let dry and attach to the knob. When everything is dry, add a bed of tissue shreds to box and insert ornament to create a delicious gift!
