Make your garden tool storage a bit brighter and more beautiful with Patio Paint Outdoor™.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- stylus or pencil
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- sandpaper
- #2 round brush
- extra fine permanent ink marker
- #2 flat brush
- palette knife
- wood filler
- 1" flat brush
- 1/2" flat paint brush
- wooden garden tote
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
To avoid smudges from the transfer paper, allow the basecoat to dry completely before transferring the design.
- Gather all the supplies needed.
- Optional: Fill any holes in the toolbox with wood filler, if desired. Sand.
- Basecoat the sides with a 1" flat brush and Cloud White.
- Paint the inside the box using the same brush and Emerald Ocean.
- Paint the box handle with the same brush and Hibiscus Pink.
- Use a 1/2" brush and Wrought Iron Black to paint checks on the top border.
- Trace and transfer the provided pattern.
- Use Citrus Green, Mistletoe Green, Turkish Teal, and Emerald Ocean to paint the leaf shapes.
- Using Turkish Teal, Red Pepper, Marigold, Tiger Lily Orange, Hibiscus Pink, Coastal Surf, and Wrought Iron Black, paint mushroom caps as desired.
- Use a 1/2" flat brush and Sandy Shore to paint the mushroom stems.
- Use assorted brushes and the handle end of brushes to embellish the mushroom caps with dots, stripes, and checks, as desired.
- Use a permanent marker to outline and add details.
