Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • rubbing alcohol
  • cosmetic sponge
  • square clear glass plate
  • painter's or cellophane tape

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Wash the plate in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry well before painting. Or clean with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Position the flower pattern(s) inside plate as desired and secure with painter's or cellophane tape.
  3. Invert the plate. Use the 3D Gold Writer to outline the pattern lines. Loosely make curved lines connecting flowers and continuing to plate edges. Let dry.
  4. Use a cosmetic sponge to dab Turquoise inside the flower petals.
  5. Repeat the application using Gold to fill in remaining areas.
  6. Let dry/cure for four days. Place inverted plate in a non-preheated oven. Set the temperature at 275 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. Turn off the oven, crack open the door, and allow the plate to cool down before removing.

To avoid overloading sponge, pounce the loaded sponge on a clean area of the palette or plastic plate several times to push paint up into the sponge. Tap loaded sponge on project surface gently to create smoother finish.
