Stenciled French-Themed Wooden Crate

Spruce up an ordinary wooden crate with a French theme and Americana Decor® paints and stencils!
SUPPLIES
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- ruler
- pencil
- painter's or masking tape
- clean cloth
- 4" foam brush
- 1" stencil brush
- unfinished wooden crate
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Make sure the crate is clean and dust free.
- Use a 4" foam brush and Vintage to paint the entire crate inside and out. Rinse brush.
- Use a pencil and ruler to find and mark the center of the front of crate and the sides.
- Use painter's or masking tape to hold the Americana Decor The French Inn Stencil in place on the front of the crate.
- Load a 1" stencil brush with Night Sky to pounce in the French Inn stencil. Rinse brush and stencil.
- Tape the Americana Decor Olde World Numbers Stencil down on each side.
- Use the 1" stencil brush and Night Sky to fill in the "No." and any number of your choice. (I added "No. 4".) Remove the stencil and repeat on the other end. Remove stencil; wash both brush and stencil. Let dry completely.
- Use a 4" foam brush and Light Satin Varnish to paint over the entire crate inside and out. Rinse brush. Let dry. Once dry, the crate is ready for indoor or outdoor décor.
