French script and brocade stenciled frame

Layer decor stencils on this grey frame with chalky finish paint to add french flair to your home.

SUPPLIES

    • palette or plastic plate
    • 1" flat brush
    • 1/2" flat brush
    • 1" painter's tape
    • cosmetic sponge
    • wooden 8"x10" picture frame

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Paint entire frame surface using Yesteryear and the 1" flat brush.
    2. Stencil Old French Script on the frame front using a cosmetic sponge and a mixture of 2 parts Everlasting and 1 part Yesteryear. Use painter's tape to hold the stencil in place.
    3. Instruction #2
    4. Mix 1 part Legacy and 1 part Romance to make purple. Stencil with parts of the Brocade stencil in two or three places on the frame using a cosmetic sponge and painter's tape to hold the stencil in place.
    5. Take some of the purple paint you made and mix in the same amount Everlasting to make a lavender. Stencil with it using the Brocade stencil again as before.
    6. Instruction #4
    7. Use the Distressed Harlequin stencil to make a triangle edge around frame opening. Tape down using painter's tape. Stencil with a cosmetic sponge and Escape.
    8. Paint edges of the frame with Escape and the 1/2" flat brush.
