Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to clean all surfaces (except the papier-mâché box). Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the birdcage and vase in Black Tie. Measure and cut the Metallic Type Decou-Page Paper to fit around the box. Use a 3/4" flat brush to adhere with Matte Decou-Page. Assemble the pieces together with E6000 Glue. (Refer to photo for placement.)
Use a #8 flat brush to paint striping around the vase in Cotton Ball. Use E6000 Glue to adhere the bolts (to hold the arms) to the vase (shoulders).
Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the doll's face (clock face) in Buff Beige. Use a #8 round brush to base the eyes in Cotton Ball. Mix Cobalt with Cotton Ball 1:1 and use to paint the eyes. Add highlights in Cobalt and Cotton Ball. Add dot to the middle of the eye in Black Tie and highlight the dot on Cotton Ball. Use a #8 round brush to line the eyes and paint the lashes in Black Tie. Use a #8 round brush to paint the cheeks in Pink Cadillac and the lips in Flamingo.
Use a #8 round brush to paint the cheeks in Pink Cadillac and the lips in Flamingo. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the clock perimeter in Black Tie and a #8 flat brush to paint the stripes in Cotton Ball.
Cut floral wire with wire cutters (size will vary depending on size of the project). Use needle nose pliers to curl the wire and use E6000 Glue to adhere the wire (hair) in place. (Refer to photo.)
Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the mini-shovels (arms) in Black Tie. Use a #8 flat brush to add stripes in Flamingo and Pink Cadillac. Set the arms in the bolts that were glued to the vase (shoulders)
HELPFUL HINTS
When assembling the pieces with E6000 Glue, let it set for 3 minutes before adhering the pieces together.
