Make a gallery wall of animal silhouettes with a paint pour of Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • disposable gloves
    • wet wipes
    • E6000 Glue
    • basswood plaque
    • plastic cups
    • paintbrushes
    • aluminum foil pan
    • stir sticks
    • "be brave" sign

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Set up supplies for pouring: Place the plaques on 3-4 small cups inside the aluminum foil pan so the paint will flow freely over them.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. In separate cups, pour equal parts of Pouring Medium and paint: Eggplant, Sky Blue, Purple Sunset, Red Hot, Pumpkin Patch, and Lemon Zest. Mix the paint and Pouring Medium with stir sticks.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. In two larger cups, pour the paint/medium mixes, alternating colors in small amounts at a time. Pour Red Hot, Lemon Zest, and Pumpkin Patch mixes into one cup, and the Eggplant, Purple Sunset, and Sky Blue mixes in the other cup. Do not mix.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Pour the contents of the cups with cool colors (purple and blue) over two of the plaques.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Pour the contents of the cups with warm colors (red, orange, and yellow) over the other two plaques. (If you need more paint, follow the previous steps to create more paint pouring blends.)
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Allow paint to dry completely. When dry, use the provided patterns to outline the images of the safari animals onto three of the plaques. Fill in the animals with Black Tie. Allow to dry and re-apply. Paint the "Be Brave" wooden lettering; let dry. Glue the lettering onto the remaining sign using E6000 Glue.
    12. Instruction #6
