paintbrushes (including small flat and small round)
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.
Gather the materials.
With Pure White, paint a basecoat around the bottom part of each pot, leaving the rims unpainted.
With various paintbrushes, create patterns around the pots in bands. (Here I used Classic Black loaded on a small flat brush to make vertical lines.)
Moving on up the pot, create the next band by making a diamond design with a dot of paint in the middle with the handle end of the paintbrush dipped in Classic Black.
For the next pot, paint Classic Black lines with a small round brush, varying the line direction.
Moving up the pot, using the handle end of the paintbrush dipped in Classic Black, make a band of dots.
To give visual interest, vary each band of design patterns.
Vertical lines and shapes look nice with the black and white color palette.
For the third pot, basecoat the bottom with Classic Black. Let dry completely. Make brush-work patterns in Pure White.
Continue the same process as the other two pots to cover the pot in patterned line work.
Place them together to see if any changes or touch-ups need to be made. Think about all of the possibilities that these can be used for: Use as flower pots, utensil holders, storage containers, gift baskets, etc.
