This floral-accented watering can makes a colorful and unique planter.

SUPPLIES

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • tracing paper
  • transfer paper
  • pencil
  • #8 flat brush
  • #12 flat brush
  • #1 round brush
  • metal watering can

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Make sure the watering can is clean and dust free.
  2. Instruction #1
  3. Using a #12 flat brush for larger areas and a #8 flat brush for smaller ones, load brushes separately using: Chartreuse, Lavender Fields, Coastal Waters, Shrimp, and Blue Bird, and paint separate areas of the watering can in different colors. (Refer to photo.) Rinse the brush between colors and at the end.

  5. Use a pencil or stylus and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer a flower of your choice from the pattern sheet to the center of the watering can.
  6. Use the #8 flat brush and #1 round brush to paint the flower using these colors separately: Soft Jade, Coastal Waters, Poppy, Lipstick, Shrimp, and Blue Bird. Rinse the brush between colors and at the end.

  8. Allow the paint to fully cure before using the watering can. (See the Multi-Surface Acrylic label for curing times.)
