Apply White to the step stool. (If you want a washed look, you can use a paper towel to wipe off excess paint. This will show the grain in the wood for a more weathered look.)
To apply the stripes, use the 1/2" flat brush and Blue: Beginning on the side leg, apply the first stripe at the top. (Each stripe will be about 1/2" wide.) Continue the stripes on the lower front and second leg. (Don't forget to continue the stripes on the inside of the legs.)
To create the flowers on the top, apply Blue and Hunter Green.
Wipe off excess paint with a paper towel. Outline with a fine brush. Highlight with White. Add petals with Hunter Green, wiping back excess paint.
Apply a thin coat of White and wipe off to create stripes.
