Floral Birdfeeder

Deck out a wooden bird feeder in floral colors of Americana® Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • pencil
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • #10 flat brush
    • #0 liner brush
    • #3 and #6 round brushes
    • wooden birdfeeder

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Use the 3/4" flat brush and Spa Blue for the sides; Lavender for the roof; and Hauser Light Green for the base.
    2. Use the #10 flat brush and Santa Red for the windowsills, edges, and roof peak.
    3. Trace and transfer flower and leaf patterns using tracing and transfer papers and a pencil.
    4. Use the round brushes and colors of your choice to paint flowers and leaves. (See photo for inspiration.)
    5. Use the #0 liner brush to outline and add details and stitch lines in contrasting colors.
    6. Seal with DuraClear Satin Varnish. Let dry between coats.
