  • scrapbook paper (floral)
  • craft knife
  • feathers
  • wooden plaque
  • E6000 Glue (E6000)

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Paint the sides of the wooden plaque in pink using a flat brush.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Trace and trim a piece of flower-patterned scrapbook paper to fit the front of the plaque and use Paper Decou-Page to adhere it onto the plaque.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Gently sand the edges of the paper to remove any excess paper. With a round brush, touch up the edges of the sanded paper in pink.
    Step 2 Example
  4. Use a craft knife to cut into the base of the neck of the plastic flamingo. (The plastic is thin and easy to cut; just be careful!)
    Step 3 Example
  5. Paint the flamingo's neck and head in pink or desired color.
    Step 4 Example
  6. Paint the beak and eyes in white. Let dry. Once dry, paint the end of the beak in black and a dot of black onto each eye.
    Step 5 Example
  7. Attach the neck onto the plaque with E6000 Glue. (I use a bit of hot glue to hold the piece in place while the E6000 dries.)
    Step 6 Example
  8. Hot glue feathers around the base of the neck.
    Step 7 Example
