INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Clear glass ornaments are great for this project. Any color glass or plastic ornament will work as well.
- Wipe the surface of the ornament clean with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.
- Shake and prime the Opaque Glass Markers by pumping the tip on a clean surface. Paint color block areas next to each other with Turquoise, Blue, Violet, Fuchsia, and Yellow, working one section at a time and allowing to dry for about 30 seconds before the next step.
- Spray the painted section with rubbing alcohol.
- The sprayed rubbing alcohol will cause the marker paints to move and mix together. (See photo)
- Blow the section to help the paint move and mix. When you achieve a satisfactory look, let it dry.
- Keep adding more color (including Red and Green) in the same process. Allow each section to dry before adding more. If you don't like a particular section or want to add more color to an area, just paint with a marker, spray, and blow right over the top of the painted area. Let dry completely.
- After completely dry, add a ribbon or string to hang. To personalize, add the year, name or initials.
- This project is great to add to other DIY ornaments on a colorful, eclectic tree or to create a wonderful gift.
