Make sure the desk set pieces are clean and dust free.
Choose a paper from the Americana Decou-Page Olde Worlde Paper that you want for the largest piece of the desk set.
Use a pencil to trace around the tray on the reverse side of the Decou-Page Paper so no lines show on the front.
Use scissors to cut out the paper rectangle.
Rip pieces of painter's tape to go around the perimeter of the inside of the tray. Use a #12 flat brush and Snow White to basecoat the entire middle section. Rinse brush.
Use the same brush to apply Americana Satin Decou-Page to the entire Snow White-painted section.
Quickly place the cut paper down onto the wet Decou-Page and smooth out with a brush from the center out. Apply more Decou-Page on top of the paper to seal. Rinse brush.
Once fully dry, trim away any excess paper with an X-Acto knife.
Use the #12 Flat brush and Patent Leather to paint the rest of the tray. Rinse brush.
Make sure the next surface (shown: a smaller tray) is dust free; pick a paper out of the Decou-Page Olde Worlde papers.
Use a pencil and ruler to measure out the size of the center of the smaller tray.
Use scissors to cut out the paper.
Use a #12 flat brush and Snow White to basecoat the center of the smaller tray. Rinse brush.
Coat the center with Satin Decou-Page using the same brush.
Quickly lay down the cut Decou-Page Paper and smooth out with the brush from the center out. Apply more Decou-Page on top to seal. Rinse brush.
Use the same brush and Patent Leather to paint the remainder of the small tray. Rinse brush.
Make sure the pencil holder is clean and dust free.
Use a pencil and ruler to measure out the four sides onto the last paper in the Decou-Page Olde Worlde Paper pack.
Cut out the four sides using scissors.
Mark with a pencil on the pencil holder where the papers will be placed. Use a #12 flat brush and Snow White to basecoat the four sides where the papers will be. Rinse brush.
In the same areas apply Americana Satin Decou-Page
Quickly apply the papers and smooth out with the brush. Apply more Decou-Page on top to seal. Use a damp paper towel to wipe off any excess. Rinse brush.
Use the same brush to paint the remainder of the pencil holder with Patent Leather. Rinse brush.
