Nautical Father's Day Decoupaged Book Box

Dad can keep his treasures in this decoupaged wooden box, decked out in knotted rope.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • scissors
    • wooden box
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • black permanent marker
    • cosmetic sponge

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Place the box on the Americana Decou-Page Ship to Shore Paper and trace the perimeter. Use scissors to cut out.

    2. Use a 3/4" flat brush to adhere the Decou-Page paper to the surface with Americana Matte Decou-Page, smoothing out as you go and brushing outward.

    3. Trace the book box spine, cut out, and adhere using a 3/4" flat brush and Matte Decou-Page.

    4. Use sandpaper to lightly distress the edges.

    5. Place the stencil from the Initial Impressions Sleek Stencil on the front bottom portion of the book spelling out DAD. Use a cosmetic sponge and dab on two coats of Snow White.
