Remove all tags and staples from the plaque. If needed, use painter's tape to tape off the front rim from the front surface.
Water down Rustic for a stain-like application. Apply the stain to the back and front of the plaque, but only on the raised edge that surrounds it. (It's okay if the stain gets on the flat part of the plaque because it will be covered with paint.)
Paint the inside of the plaque with Everlasting.
Cut out the Silhouette file onto vinyl. Remove the letters from the vinyl to create a stencil.
Apply the stencil to the plaque, making sure to center it.
Apply Carbon to the stencil, filling in all the letters with a stamping motion. Remove the stencil while the paint is still wet.
