Lightly sand over the entire wooden sign. Wipe down with a clean rag to remove any dust particles.
Measure each of the slats of the sign. Use a Silhouette electronic cutting machine to cut out the provided files, making words big enough to fit the slats.
Place transfer paper over the top of the vinyl letters. (The transfer paper helps to keep the letters/stencil lined up and makes for easy transfer to the surface.) Peel off the back of the vinyl making sure all pieces (i.e. inside the A & R) are stuck to the transfer paper. Attach the vinyl stencils to the sign.
Paint in the stencils using desired colors.
Let the stencil dry briefly. Pull off the vinyl, being careful not to smear the paint.
HELPFUL HINTS
Dabbing the paint in the stencil areas creates cleaner lines than does using brush-strokes.
