Hand Built Entry Table

Dress up an entryway with this table cloaked in Americana Decor® Chalky Finish paint.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Build the table according to the attached plans. Make sure the wood surface is clean and dry.

    3. Paint everything except the top of the table using Lace. Let dry. Apply a second coat, if desired.

    5. Paint the sides and top of the table using Inheritance. Let dry.

    7. Stencil the tabletop with the desired stencil pattern using Lace. (We used a herringbone stencil.) Let dry.

    9. Once the paint is dry to the touch, lay down the opposite side of the stencil and paint inside the stencil areas using Lace.

    11. Continue until you reach the end of the tabletop. Let dry.

    13. Using sandpaper, sand down all the painted areas to distress. Wax all the painted areas using a Clear Crème Wax.

    15. Remove the drawers (mark so you know which one goes in which space) and mark for the drawer pulls using a pencil. Measure again, just to be sure.

    17. Pre-drill holes for the drawer pulls.

    19. Attach the drawer pulls using a screwdriver.

    21. Attach the tabletop and return the drawers to their spaces.
