Store everything from plants to mail in this wooden tote, colorfully decorated with Americana Enchanted Shimmer.

SUPPLIES

• sandpaper
• paintbrush
• masking tape
• clean cloth
• palette knife
• wooden tote
• pencil

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Lightly sand the entire surface of the wooden tote. Wipe away any sanding dust with a clean cloth.

2. On one side the tote, place masking tape in a design of diagonal stripes. (See photo.)

3. Apply Bright Gold (Metallic) or any color of Americana Decor Texture vertically along the open areas. (See photo.)

4. Apply the texture slightly over the tape so that when the tape is removed, there will be a clean line. Remove the tape while the paint is still wet. Let dry completely.

5. Paint the entire surface of the wooden tote with Ultra Black Basecoat. Allow to dry. Paint the textured stripes with Gold and the smooth stripes with Violet.

6. On the reverse side of the tote, draw a simple design using rounded shapes with a pencil. Paint the shapes with Gold, Blue, Violet, Green, and White. Paint the inside and sides of the tote with Gold.
