Eat Sleep Create Repeat Mixed Media Journal

Add creativity to your daily schedule on a mixed media journal cover made with DecoArt Media® Fluid Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • stylus or pencil
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • black permanent marker
    • cosmetic sponge
    • plain white copy paper
    • journal
    • small brush
    • medium brush

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use a medium brush to randomly paint the journal cover in Cobalt Teal Hue, Green Gold, Primary Magenta, and Titanium White. Use a cosmetic sponge to randomly stencil words and numbers throughout. (Shown: Industrial Elements Stencil.) Let dry.

    3. Trace and transfer the pattern of the girl to paper. Use a medium brush to paint her eyes in Cobalt Teal Hue; hair in both yellows; top in Primary Magenta; and Titanium White throughout to lighten the colors. Let dry. Use a black permanent marker to outline and add details.

    5. Cut out a curved piece of paper and adhere it along with the girl to the journal cover with a medium brush and Matte Medium. Use a small brush to paint circle accents (roses) in Primary Magenta and Titanium White. Let dry. Free-hand the words "Eat Sleep Create Repeat" with a permanent marker. Draw a swirl in the middle of each circle to create a rose. For added dimension, finish off by applying Liquid Glass over the roses.
