    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

TIP: The faux eggs are made of plastic and have drilled holes that make them easier to hang.

    1. This is a fun glass jar painting project! First, find a glass vase you would like to work on. (TIP: A vase with a wide body and a smaller opening works perfectly. The one I found at Hobby Lobby was 12" X 7", but you could use any size.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Gather a variety of colors of the DecoArt Opaque Glass Markers to make your hand painted vase design.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Wipe the entire vase surface with rubbing alcohol using a paper towel. This will remove any oil or dirt from the surface.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Plan the placement of the saying that you want to paint onto the vase. Use the provided inspiration font or saying to plan your design or come up with your own. (TIP: Use masking tape for guidelines to plan where the words will go.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Find your own Easter quotes to write or use the provided pattern. Begin writing the word "EASTER", in a capitalized font, with the Opaque Glass Paint Markers. Alternate colors for added fun: I began with the Red Opaque Glass Marker and then add the Blue and then the Green marker. (TIP: Don't forget to prime each glass paint marker by shaking and pumping the tip on a clean surface to bring to paint into the tip of the marker.)
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Continue writing "EASTER" with Yellow, Fuchsia, and Violet Opaque Glass Paint Markers.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Remove the tape where "wishes" will go. Skip down and write "BUNNY" with the Violet, Fuchsia, Yellow, Green, and Blue paint markers. Remove the bottom masking tape.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. With the Black Opaque Glass Paint Marker, write "wishes" and "kisses" in a cursive font.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. For the Easter egg tree, find some white plastic eggs that you can paint and then hang on the tree. (If you don't want to paint the eggs, just find some colorful plastic eggs to use instead.)
    18. Instruction #9
    19. For the eggs, I picked Americana Acrylic colors to coordinate with the Opaque Glass Paint Marker colors: Santa Red, Bright Yellow, Festive Green, Bright Blue, Lavende,r and Royal Fuchsia.
    20. Instruction #10
    21. Separate all of the eggs and paint them with each of the Americana Acrylic colors. Allow to dry and paint a second coat. Allow to dry completely.
    22. Instruction #11
    23. Cut baker's twin, string, or ribbon approximately 8" for each egg. Loop through holes in the top part of the egg and tie off.
    24. Instruction #12
    25. Place branches in the vase and decorate the with the eggs. Optional: For added fun, fill up the eggs with surprises! This project is great for the whole family, and it is the perfect table decor piece for Easter and Spring.
