Easter Egg Decorative Frame

Color and frame an egg with Americana® Acrylics for a unique Easter accent.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- transfer paper
- pencil
- flat brush
- liner brush
- 8" square wooden frame
- 4" square white or natural canvas material
INSTRUCTIONS
- Paint the entire frame and sides Spa Blue. Let dry and apply a second coat. Let dry.
- Using the transfer paper and a pencil, transfer the design onto the frame.
- Using the liner brush, paint wavy lines with Graphite and straight lines with Shimmering Silver.
- Using the flat brush, paint the edges and outer section of frame Shimmering Silver.
- Use the liner brush to highlight wavy lines in Shimmering Silver, Warm White, and Hauser Light Green. (Be sure to let each color dry before highlighting with the next color.)
- Paint dots with Shimmering Silver. Let dry. Once dry, highlight with Hauser Light Green.
- Using the transfer paper and a pencil, trace the egg design onto the canvas fabric.
- Paint the egg Warm White and the background, Hauser Light Green. Let dry.
- Paint the lines on the egg with Shimmering Silver.
- Lightly paint Warm White over the Hauser Light Green background, so some of background still shows through. (Do not cover completely.)
- Lightly paint Cadmium Yellow over the Warm White egg, so some Warm White shows through.
- Use the liner brush to paint lines on the egg with Shimmering Silver. Let dry.
- Once both pieces are dry, place the painted fabric in the frame opening according to frame instructions.
- Topcoat with two coats of DuraClear Satin Varnish, letting coats dry in between.
