Dragging a lighter color of Chalky Finish paint over a darker one creates a simple, yet dramatic, look.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • paper towels
    • wax or varnish
    • 2" chip brush
    • 1" painter's tape
    • 2" foam brush
    • wooden frame

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Dry-brushing or dragging requires very little paint on the brush. Load paint on the brush bristle tips and wipe off excess on a paper towel before applying to the surface.

    1. Use a 2" foam brush to paint the frame Relic. Let dry.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Working with one section at a time, position strips of painter's tape diagonally at the frame corners. Using very little pressure, drag a bristle brush lightly loaded with Serene across the surface. Let dry.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Reposition the painter's tape for the next section. Repeat the dragging step for each side of the frame.
    6. Leave the frame as is or apply a wax or varnish finish of your choice.
