Gather all of your supplies. For this project, you will need a rustic wooden background, driftwood pieces, twine, paints, and brushes.
Paint the sign and driftwood in Brown. While the paint is still wet, wipe the paint back with a damp rag.
With a flat brush, dry brush Antique Bronze onto the wooden sign and the driftwood pieces.
Paint the driftwood pieces to look like fishing lures using Pink Tourmaline, Aquamarine, Sapphire, and Amethyst. Use a dry brushing technique to allow the wood to show through. Once you have the look you like, add a dot of White for the eye. Then, add a dot of Black for the pupil of the eye.
Transfer the provided pattern onto the top center of your sign. Using a round brush, paint the letters in black.
Screw in tiny eye-hooks onto the top and bottom of each driftwood piece. Cut (7) 3" pieces of wire. Run the wire through the eye-hook to the halfway point. Twist the wire onto the hook and curve each end of the wire to look like a double fishing hook.
Cut jute twine to fit the length of sign. String the fishing lures on and use hot glue to adhere the string to the back of the wooden sign.
