Dragonfly Zen Tabletop Waterfall

Channel a Zen-like atmosphere with this dragonfly waterfall, made with Americana® Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- household cleaner or rubbing alcohol
- paintbrushes
- scrap paper
- waterfall
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
Practice splattering paint on a piece of paper before splattering on the waterfall.
- Wipe the surfaces of the waterfall clean with rubbing alcohol or household cleaner.
- Paint the top of the waterfall with Terra Coral, the sides with French Mauve, and the bottom with Deep Midnight Blue.
- Paint a dragonfly on the front of the waterfall using a painterly style. Use Blue Mist to paint the body, head, and wings of the dragonfly. Add accents with Saffron Yellow, Red Violet, French Mauve, Terra Coral, and Snow White. Paint the antennae and legs in Snow White. Allow to dry.
- Cover the top of the waterfall with paper to protect it from paint splatters. To create the paint splatters, load a paintbrush with any one of the paints listed and flick the loaded brush at the front surface of the waterfall.
