DIY Rusted Metal Wall Planter

Create the illusion of aged, rusted metal wall planter on a plain wood planter box with Designer Finishes Rusted Metal kit.

SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • wooden planter
    • 1" brush
    • disposable plastic trays (clean frozen meal containers work great!)
    • -fine grit sandpaper
    • Designer Finisihes Rusted Metal Kit

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Use a plastic tray to mix paint from the Rusted Metal Kit.

    1. Use The DecoArt Designer Finishes Rusted Metal kit.
      2. Instruction #1
    2. Lightly sand the wood planter. Wipe off excess dust with paper towel.

    3. Paint the entire surface with Tin. Let dry.
      4. Instruction #3
    4. Mix 1:1 Georgia Clay and Texture Sand Medium and apply randomly, concentrating on corners and edges. You can blend in with your finger or paper towel. Let dry.

    5. Lightly brush on Asphaltum mixed 4:1 water to paint the surface.

    6. When dry, apply varnish for added durability. Stage with succulents.
