glass vases (or any material--a grouping of various sizes)
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: The great thing about using Americana Chalky Finish paints for this trash-to-terracotta look is that you don't have to mix the paint with baking soda. Just paint on Chalky Finish...it's ready to go!
Gather a grouping of various-sized bottles and/or vases. (Any material will work.)
To get the trash-to-terracotta look, pick Chalky Finish paint colors that look nice together and give the look of terracotta clays: Three great colors are: Heritage, Heirloom, and Whisper.
Paint some pieces with Heritage, using a 1" chip brush. (TIP: Paint the insides of the vases and/or bottles to give the look of a clay pots.)
Paint some of the pieces with Heirloom, using a 1" chip brush.
Paint the remaining pieces with Whisper. Allow all of the pieces to dry and then apply second coat of paint. Allow to dry completely.
Finish off the look with dried flowers or paper palm leaves. This is a great trash-to-treasure craft that is perfect for a table centerpiece or mantle décor.
