INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- If needed, sand the wooden panel before painting. Remove any dust using a damp paper towel.
- Paint the wooden panel Titanium White using a 1" foam brush.
- Lightly sketch out the desired lettering. Shown: "Home Sweet Home".
- Using a #3 round brush, paint "home" in Hansa Yellow Medium and "sweet" in Quinacridone Magenta.
- Paint the papier mâché house Titanium White. Once dry, measure the front and sides of the house and cut scrapbook paper to wrap around the front of the house.
- Use a foam brush to apply a thin layer of Americana Matte Decou-Page to the front and sides of the house. Wrap the scrapbook paper around the front of the house. Apply another layer of Decou-Page to the top of the scrapbook paper. Use a finger to remove any wrinkles or bubbles.
- Paint the roof of the house Cerulean Blue. Add detailing such as shingles and a window with Carbon Black.
- Use Quinacridone Magenta to paint a front door on the house. Add dimensional details to the roof and door by applying a thin layer of Liquid Glass to the shingles, window, and door. (These will need to be done one at a time; lay the house flat and allow the Liquid Glass to dry completely before moving on to the next side.)
- Attach a sawtooth hanger to the back of the wooden panel. Screw cup hooks to the bottom of the panel.
- Apply E6000 Glue to the back and part of the bottom of the house and press it into the wooden canvas. Let it dry completely before using.
