Distressed Stenciled Nautical Tray

A wooden tray becomes the perfect summer, seaworthy accent with Americana Decor Stencils.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • sandpaper
    • 1" chip brush
    • 3/4" flat brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • wooden tray

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using a 1" chip brush, basecoat the tray with Inheritance.
      2. Instruction #1
    2. Using a 1" chip brush, paint the tray with Treasure. Lightly sand, exposing Inheritance color underneath.

    3. Using a 3/4" flat brush, loosely paint stripes in Escape.
      4. Instruction #3
    4. Position the Americana Decor Nautical Knot Stencil and, using a cosmetic sponge, lightly dab on Whisper.
    5. To seal the tray, apply Americana Decor Clear Crème Wax with the Waxing & Finishing Brush in small, circular motions.
