SUPPLIES

Americana Decor® Chalky Finish™ Paint

  • Lace (ADC02)
  • Relic (ADC28)

Americana Decor® Stencils

  • Café Paris (12" x 12") (ADS02)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • sandpaper
  • 1" flat brush
  • 1" painter's tape
  • wooden tray (flea market)
  • cosmetic foam wedge

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.

  1. Using a 1" flat brush, paint the wooden tray with Relic.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Using a 1" flat brush, paint the tray with two coats of Lace. Mask off part of the stencil (see small design in photo) with 1" painter's tape. Stencil in design using a cosmetic wedge and Relic on all four corners.

  3. Place the Café Paris Stencil in the center of the tray and tape into place. Use a cosmetic wedge to stencil the design in Relic

  4. (Optional) Use sandpaper to distress the tray.

HELPFUL HINTS

When stenciling, dab excess paint off onto the palette or plate. This will result in cleaner lines and less bleeding of paint.
