Create a nautical feel for your home with an inexpensive wood chest and DecoArt Ship to Shore Decoupage Papers.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• scissors
• ruler
• 3/4" flat brush
• 120-grit sandpaper
• wooden chest w/drawers

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

1. Sand and clean surface, if necessary.

2. Remove hardware from drawers and drawers from chest.

3. Use 3/4 flat brush and Titanium White to basecoat areas where Decoupage Papers will be adhered.

4. Place paper of choice face down. Position drawer front on paper. Trace around edges with pencil. Use scissors to cut paper just inside the pencil line. Repeat for drawers and sides.

5. Use 3/4 flat to apply Decoupage Matte over surface.

6. While wet, position paper and smooth out with fingers. Apply more Decoupage Matte over paper. Repeat for each drawer and sides using paper patterns you desire.

7. When completely dry. Trim excess paper by lightly sanding across edges with sanding block or sandpaper.
8. Use #3 round brush and True Blue to paint unpainted edges. Wipe off any excess paint with damp paper towel, if necessary.

9. Replace hardware.
