INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Paint the wooden block and laser-cut wooden overlays in appropriate colors. Shown: Peach Silk (overlay) and Pistachio Mint (plaque); Chick (overlay) and Sea Glass (plaque); Sea Glass (overlay) and Peach Silk (plaque); and Pistachio Mint (overlay) and Chick (plaque).
- Using sandpaper in circular motions, distress all the plaques and overlays with concentration on edges to let the wood show through.
- Glue the overlay on top of the wooden block, making sure it is centered.
- While plaques are drying, paint the doorknobs in Almond. (This may take several coats.) Set aside to dry.
- Once the wooden block glue has dried, use a ruler and pencil to find and mark the center. Using a drill gun, drill a hole all the way through the block. (Be careful that you have something underneath so no damage will be done to the work surface.) A screw will be provided in the knob package; choose a drill bit according to that screw size.
- Put the screw through the hole (with thread sticking out the side where the knob will be placed). Screw the knob on tightly.
- Attach a hook on the back of the hook for hanging.
