INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using a 3/4" flat brush, loosely paint stripes in Poppy.
  2. Using a 3/4" flat brush, loosely paint stripes in Flamingo.
  3. Mix (2) parts School Bus with (1) water. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the entire surface. Immediately drop little drops of rubbing alcohol on the canvas to create the details and bring out the colors from the previous layer.
  4. Place all patterns on burlap and cut out. Starting with the female skull, use 3/4" flat brush to loosely paint the heads in Cotton Ball. (Do not cover completely; allow the burlap to show through.) Paint the face details in Coastal Waters, School Bus, Deep Turquoise, Poppy, Black Tie, and Pink Cadillac.
  5. For the male skull: Using a 3/4" flat brush, loosely paint in Cotton Ball. (Do not cover completely; allow the burlap to show through.) Paint the face details in Apple Green, School Bus, Deep Turquoise, Poppy, Black Tie, and Pink Cadillac.
  6. Using a #8 round brush, paint the flower in Flamingo, dots in Pink Cadillac, and center of the flower in School Bus, outlined in Cotton Ball.
  7. Using a 3/4" flat brush, paint the hat in Black Tie. Mix (1) part Black Tie with (2) parts Cotton Ball. Use a pencil eraser to add dotted details with this mix.
  8. Use craft glue to adhere the skulls to canvas, followed by the flower and hat. (Refer to photo for placement.)
  9. (Optional) Use craft glue to adhere orange burlap ribbon to back of canvas as a hanger.
