  2. Use a 4" foam brush and Yesteryear to paint the entire crate inside and out. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
    Step 1 Example
  3. Using fine-grit sandpaper, lightly sand around the edges of the crate, as well as the corners, to remove just a bit of paint. Wipe the crate down with a clean, lint-free cloth. (This step is optional; skip if you want a rustic look.)
    Step 2 Example
  4. Use a pencil and ruler to find and mark the center of middle of the crate. Also find and mark the center on each side.
  5. Use painter's tape to adhere the Americana Decor Brocade Motif Stencil to the center of the crate.
  6. Load a 1" stencil brush with Promise, then wipe excess off on a paper towel. Lightly dab in the stencil until it is filled completely. Remove and wash stencil.
  7. At the end of the crate, use painter's tape to tape down the Americana Decor Fleur de Lis Tile Stencil so the main fleur de lis is in the center of one of the sides.
  8. Use the same stencil brush and Promise. Wipe excess off on a paper towel, then lightly pounce over the stencil. Remove stencil and repeat at other end. Wash brush and stencil. Let dry completely.
  9. Use a 4" foam brush and Americana Decor Light Satin Varnish to paint over the entire crate to seal. Rinse brush. Now the crate is ready to be filled with your favorite flowers.
