    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

Avoid painting the lip area of the mugs.

    1. Begin with (6) clean mugs. Wipe all the mugs down with rubbing alcohol.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. To create the stamped images, apply Americana Gloss Enamel or Acrylic paints of your choice to a rubber stamp, using a stencil brush. (Make sure to coat the stamp evenly and do not overload it.) We used Bahama Blue; Red Gloss Enamel Glitter; and Shimmering Silver (Metallic).
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Position the stamp of the mug as desired and press down carefully. (Be careful not to slip and make sure to press all directions to get the entire image.) If you don't like the placement or how the image turned out, you can quickly wipe the paint off with a baby wipe and try again.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. To create a striped effect on the mug, use painter's tape to create lines around the mug. (Make sure all the edges are pressed down firmly so that the paint doesn't bleed.)
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Paint the stripes in the different colors or the same color. Add a stamped image between the lines to dress it up a little.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. To create the polka dot mug, use a circle punch to make dots out of painter's tape. Tape off the top rim of the mug. Paint the white space around the dots and then remove the tape.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Use different stamps to create different looks. To create a simple polka dot design, use a round stencil sponge to apply dots on the mug.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Bake the mugs according to packaging instructions. Allow to cool completely before removing from oven.
