DIY Speakers from Everyday Objects

Tune into your music with these DIY speakers made with recycled cardboard and Galaxy Glitter™.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- craft knife or scissors
- empty paper towel roll
- fan brush
- plastic cup
- paintbrushes
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Cut a hole, large enough to fit the paper towel roll inside, in the side of each plastic cup about halfway up. (See photo.)
- Cut a slit into the top of the paper towel roll, in the center, large enough to fit a cellphone. (See photo.) Basecoat the paper towel roll with Desert Turquoise.
- Paint the roll in Aquamarine and then seal with DuraClear Matte Varnish.
- Basecoat both cups in Desert Turquoise.
- Paint the interior and exterior of each cup in Aqua Meteor, applying several layers of glitter until the desired look is achieved.
- Assemble the speaker as shown.
