"Cook" Kitchen Utensil Holder

Keep those essential kitchen utensils within reach by repurposing a container in colorful Crafter's Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • jute twine
    • small round brush
    • large flat brush
    • galvanized metal container
    • cosmetic foam wedge
    • spoon

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Basecoat the container with White using a large flat brush.
    2. Paint the handles, edges, and solid strip on the container top Cinnamon Brown. Paint one wooden spoon the same color, using a small round brush as needed.
    3. Paint "COOK" on the Cinnamon Brown strip with White and the round brush.
    4. Sponge on the checkerboard stripes with Dark Turquoise and the Americana Gloss Enamels Stick-On Bistro Stencil. Paint one wooden spoon with Dark Turquoise.
    5. Sponge on the wedge design with the cosmetic sponge (see photo) and paint one wooden spoon with Navy Blue.

    7. Paint the center square of the design with Dark Turquoise.
    8. Spray Plastercraft Gloss Sealer on all parts.
    9. Tie the spoons on the handles with jute twine.
