Use Americana® Acrylics to brew up some cute kitchen décor.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• sandpaper
• cosmetic sponge
• clean cloth
• wooden sign
• paintbrushes
• coffee stencil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Sand the sign lightly. Wipe off any sawdust with a clean cloth.

2. Paint the sign in Burnt Umber. Allow to dry and re-apply a second coat.

3. Center the coffee stencil, laying it flat on the sign surface and smoothing out bumps. With a cosmetic sponge, dab White Wash onto the stencil using light strokes. Repeat these steps for the coffee mugs, if using.

4. For the words on the stencil, use a cosmetic sponge to dab the letters with Turquoise Blue and Whispering Turquoise. (Dab around the tops and bottoms of the letters, leaving some White Wash exposed. The outside of the letters should be darker than the inside.) Optional: Repeat these steps with the mugs using Banana Cream and Saffron Yellow; Pistachio Mint and Sour Apple; and Razzle Berry and Bubblegum Pink. For the steam, use White Wash, Whispering Turquoise, and Turquoise Blue.

5. Remove the stencil immediately after applying the paint.

6. Let dry completely before hanging.
