Symbols of Christmas Painted Rocks

Decorate rocks in five symbols of Christmas with Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- pencil
- 1/2" flat brush
- #0 liner brush
- #0 round brush
INSTRUCTIONS
- For the angel: Sketch the outline of the angel on the rock as a guideline. Apply True Blue to the background around the angel. Apply Cotton Ball for the angel's gown. Apply Canary for her hair.
- Highlight the angel's gown with Coffee Bean mixed with Cotton Ball. Mix Coffee Bean and Cotton Ball 3:1 for angel's skin and hands. Paint the eyes with two small lines of Coffee Bean and use a touch of Pumpkin Patch for her lips. Blend Canary and Coffee Bean to give her hair more depth. Highlight the hair and create a halo and stars with Cotton Ball.
- For the gift: Apply Dark Scarlet over the entire rock. Let dry. Once dry, apply Black Tie in a cross from one end to the other.
- Apply dots all over with Cotton Ball. Create a bow in the center using Black Tie. Highlight the bow and ribbon with Cotton Ball.
- For the snowmen: Apply Cotton Ball over the entire rock. Let dry. Once dry, separate the rock with three horizontal lines and angled stripes at the bottom of Dark Scarlet. Using Black Tie and Coffee Bean, paint multiple small snowmen. Use Cotton Ball to make dots on the Dark Scarlet line above the snowmen.
- Use Turf Green and Coffee Bean to paint multiple pine trees. For the to star, use a blend of Coffee Bean and Canary; outline with Coffee Bean.
- For the peppermint, apply Cotton Ball to the entire rock.
- Make the wavy lines of Dark Scarlet, beginning from the center and moving out to the edge of the rock.
- The Christmas tree rock is first covered completely Cotton Ball. Let dry. Once dry, apply Turf Green in a thin layer for tree; finish with Coffee Bean for the trunk.
- Keep applying layers of Turf Green and Cotton Ball. Use Black Tie to create the lighting, draping the lines, starting at the top, from left to right. Highlight the wire with Cotton Ball. Apply multiple colors randomly for lightbulbs. Use Canary for the star at the top. Apply lines from the star with Canary. Create snow with dots of Cotton Ball. At the bottom, use Cotton Ball in circular motion to create fluffy snow at the base of the tree.
