Here's a child's desk awash with charm using Vintage Effect Wash™.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• sandpaper
• paintbrush
• small craft brush
• clean cloth
• rolltop desk

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the desk by removing drawers and gently sanding surfaces. Wipe away the grit and sanding sawdust residue. (If there is a chair, do the same to the chair.)

2. Paint the desk's outside surface with Grey and then wipe excess off with a dry rag and/or brush until the desired look is achieved. Repeat if necessary. Using White, dry-brush from the outside in creating an ombre effect. Wipe excess away as necessary using the dry rag and/or brush.

3. For the desk inside, paint the surface Pink using the craft brush and wipe off the excess using a dry rag and/or brush. Paint the center of the inside with White, working the paint out to the edges using a dry rag and/or brush and making the furthest edge the most pink.

4. Repeat the step above for the chair. (See photo for color placement.) Allow to dry and highlight and touch-up paint, where needed.
