Old Picnic Basket Becomes New Storage

Redo an old picnic basket in color to serve as stylish storage for home and hearth.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- painter's tape
- 2" chip brush
- picnic basket
- 1" chip brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use 2" chip brush and load with Rouge to paint entire lid. Rinse brush.
- Use 1" chip brush and load with Yesteryear to paint handles and rim. Rinse brush.
- Use 2" chip brush and load with Relic to paint entire base of basket. Rinse brush.
- Use painter's tape to create vertical checks.
- Use 1" chip brush and load with Relic to paint vertical checks. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
- Remove painter's tape and reposition tape to make horizontal checks. Rinse brush.
- Use 1" chip brush to mix Rouge with small amount of Relic. Use mix to paint horizontal checks. Rinse brush. Let dry completely.
- Use 3/4" flat brush to apply Ultra-Matte Varnish over entire basket to seal.
