Chalky Finish Egg Cups

One of my favorite thing about any holiday is the opportunity to entertain my family and friends. I love hosting parties and having my home filled with lots of laughter, good food and my favorite people. This year I'll be hosting a brunch for our family and I thought it would be fun to include pretty little place settings, and nothing says Easter quite like pastel colors and eggs. These chalky finish painted Easter Egg Cups are sweet and simple decor for our Easter brunch.
The best part is they are easy to make and take less than 30 minutes to create.
Items Needed:
- Assorted Brushes
- Washi Tape
- Wooden Egg Cups
- Wooden Easter Eggs
- Extra Fine Sandpaper
Instructions:
Here is what you will need to create this project:
Start by painting the wooden egg cups with a base coat of the Chalky Finish Everlasting. Let them dry completely and reapply another coat of paint.
Once the paint is dry create a pattern or design on your wooden egg cups with washi tape.
Now it's time to add a little bit of color. We used the remaining Chalky Finish paint colors to create pretty designs on our egg cups.
Let the paint dry completely and then use the extra fine sandpaper to distress them just a bit. Of course, this step is optional. Once you have finished the egg cups you can paint the wooden Easter eggs to use as decor.
These chalky finish painted Easter egg cups make pretty table decorations or would be great to use as place cards for each guest. Simply use a fine tip marker to write each guest name on the painted wooden egg.
Either way you decide to use these pretty Easter egg cups they are sure to brighten up your Easter brunch and holiday decor.
